The rest of November 2012.

There were fire pits with the neighbors.

Lily got to be the star student in her class.

The kids all voted in their mock elections at school.

Even at preschool!

Lily rediscovered her love of pigtails!
The 1st grade went on a field trip to M*rbles and Mommy got to chaperone!

This was our group that ran like hooligans al over the museum.
And while we were there we got to see an IMAX movie about the Arctic.

Plus, the kids got to have lunch there.
And they got to build castles and towers with the giant legos before we left.
On rainy days, the girls curled up together to watch movies.
We went to dance class.
And made our thankful tree.
Rory made herself some tape-on earrings.

And we got to go to Abby's birthday dinner, which ended with a (very early) trip to visit with Santa at the mall.

First time in a photo booth!

Thanksgiving in Charlotte.

We spent Thanksgiving at Grammy and Bumpa's house. There were craft projects.

And we went for a walk through Grammy & Bumpa's woods to where a greenway trail is going in. Nothing says Thanksgiving like trespassing on giant trucks!

We played a lot of hide-and-go-seek. FYI, Mommy does NOT fit inside the ottoman.
Rory is always easy to find, because as soon as you finish counting, she jumps out of her hiding spt, yells "Boo!" and runs away.
We had a lovely, yummy dinner. Well, most of us did. Lily ate rolls (just like Mommy used to do!).
And Rory fell asleep at the table.

I am so incredibly thankful. For Shawn, for our girls, for my sister and my parents.  For good friends, near and far. And for our health, our home and our happiness. We are so very lucky.

Thanksgiving at school.

I got to go to Lily's class Thanksgiving party (since I was bringing the snack and the activity). I have been spending at least one morning a week in her class, and I have loved getting to know the kids. They all greet me with hugs and happy shouts of "Hi Lily's mom!" They are so sweet.

And at the end of the party they even performed their Thanksgiving song for me.

But this little turkey is still my favorite.

Great Cousin Adventure (the next generation).

Our cousins came to visit! Sunny and Amy drove up for the weekend from Atlanta with Ashley, Vinny, Emily and baby Catherine. We had so much fun.

There was a giant sleepover in the playroom.
(Although on the first night, Lily & Rory ended up having to sleep somewhere else because they were too excited to calm down and go to sleep.)

There were waffles with nutella for breakfast.

There was resting time.

We played outside.

And got Cousin Amy on the rope swing.

Rory got Daddy to give her underdogs.

And since we had so many kids playing, we invited Jack & Abby over to play too.

(Jack & Lily, sitting in a tree...)

And there was major lego building at night.
Emily!
Catherine!
Obligatory group photo.
Lily loves holding babies.

Thanks for coming, cousins! We had so much fun!
